Session 2: 5th September 2014

In session 1 we developed 4 characters. The idea was to contact one of these characters in a series of seances. However, in session 2 (below) a new character, Vax from Vladivostok, appeared, and seemed to be the 'main' contact in subsequent sessions.     These are some notes I made after the session

Session 2: 5th September. 4pm. NM’s kitchen. Present: JH, DI, JM, NM. Apologies MR

We used NM’s kitchen for the first run of the experimental seance. It was fairly low key. The ‘ouija’ board was set out on the kitchen table. It consisted of all the letters in the alphabet laid out in a circle, plus ‘yes’ and ‘no’, ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’. The pointer / moving device was a planchette which can also be used for automatic writing, which glided easily on the surface of the table. We chatted for about an hour, waiting for JH. A little wine was drunk and we listened to NM’s Italo Boot Mix album.

We started and the pointer started to move fairly quickly. It spelt out the familiar mixture of sense and nonsense (all of the participants, bar JH, took part in a seance in the 1990s, where results mixing sense and apparent nonsense were also obtained). We did three fairly short sessions. The first was about 20 minutes, and was video recorded.   I have transcribed the text from the first 20 or so minutes below.  There were also 2 other short sessions. We thought for a minute we’d  contacted Ulrich, but he proved elusive. The most permanent character seems to be VAX of Vladivostock, who went to Taboo. Even he wasn’t entirely clear in his communications.    It seemed like a good idea to further develop his character as we'd done in session 1 for the other characters.
